    Laney Amps - Underdogs, or...?

I gigged a vh100r in the early 2000s playing 28” baritones. Always had a lot of compliments on my tone. Also, they are really solid…literally fell with it on concrete and it broke my fall. As someone else mentioned, it was quite large and heavy and built like a tank. I was going to grab one...

    Wes Hauch/Aaron Marshall "secret setup"

I can guarantee that his use of the word “sauce” was accidental, but literal. Ever try graphite in the nut slots? Fretfast on the strings? I doubt the secret is nut height, as that is a common feature of an instrument.

    Carvin Legacy?

Super random, but I’ve been researching these as well for months. V100 seems to be where it’s at…

Ormsby Hype GTR 7 GTI Multiscale Evertune

The fan is barely noticeable, it’s small.

Ormsby Hype GTR 7 GTI Multiscale Evertune

I bought an azure blue 7 string gti Evertune when they came out (it was actually an accident as I was just checking the AUS to usd conversion in PayPal). Next thing I know, congrats on your purchase. I did sell it, but it was an amazing guitar and I look to replace it constantly. The azure blue...

Complain - Cross Glances (AMV Lyric Video) FFO: Misery Signals, Counterparts, Comeback Kid, Underoath

That was pretty sick dude. Good stuff… make It Real was also good. Really liking the use of melodies etc (misery signals, Shai Halud style etc.).

    Explain "Double Drop D#" on a 7-String

Doc Plus said it correctly, for example double drop E for an 8 string is EAEADGBE. The tuning they use is just drop E for a 7 string, then you tune down half a step. He was just saying double drop because it’s in the base octave, although it’s really not the correct standard nomenclature. Also...

NGD: 2003 Ibanez Mike Mushok MMM1 MOL

I tried a lot of different pickups in mine back in the day and honestly the stock ones were arguably the best. One of my favorite guitars of all time. Rock solid…

Axe FX III An Improvement Over Axe FX II XL+?

Huh? The AX8 was basically an axefxII floor pedal. My issue was something didn’t quite sound right with it, and anything I tried with it was thinner and harder to tweak than my other axefxII at the time(using axe edit, so not an issue with the differences in new screens/menus, etc).

Axe FX III An Improvement Over Axe FX II XL+?

I sold my axefx III in Nov 2022. Had it for maybe 3-4 months and the first thing I did was a factory reset before even listening to any sounds. Couldn’t tell you what the firmware was but it was the best available at the time.

Do you still favor your BKPs?

Yes but all of these amps while not insanely high output still have a lot of gain. More importantly they all have a lot of upper mids which BKPs also tend to have. It’s fine to just not like them, everyone has their preferences.

Axe FX III An Improvement Over Axe FX II XL+?

If you read what I wrote...I've had all versions of Axefx minus the new fm3/fm9. So standard, ultra, II, AX8, and III. Typing it out, seems kinda dumb because I really enjoy the fractal stuff and am being nitpicky. AX8 didnt do it for me, the others were great.

Do you still favor your BKPs?

Honestly. just sounds like you're using too much gain with pickups in general. Different strokes for different folks though...

Do you still favor your BKPs?

The painkillers and the blackhawks are probably the worst sounding BKPs I’ve tried. I can recommend the Mules, the Rebel Yells, and the Ragnaroks though for sure. I find Nailbombs to be extremely meh, never understood the hype on those… Generally, you aren’t going to like BKPs at all if you are...

Axe FX III An Improvement Over Axe FX II XL+?

It’s just my opinion, and keep in mind all parameters can be tweaked. I just prefer the starting place of something like a II XL compared to an axe8. While I haven’t tried the fm8/9 I did have an axefx III and liked it but it wasn’t earth shatteringly different. The signal was a bit cleaner and...
