What bands did you see live recently / are waiting to see?

We saw Sepultura & Kreator at the Palladium Times Square in Manhattan Saturday (great show, Sepultura has the nastiest bass drops of any live band we've seen). Our next venture is Cognitive & Wormhole in Baltimore, MD July 8th so we're excited to meet some Maryland locals \m/!!

What bands did you see live recently / are waiting to see?

Myself (and our vocalist) had the most metal-tastic weekend you could think of! Friday the 2nd, we saw Sanguisugabogg, Jarhead Fertilizer, Stabbed, and Weeping at the Underground Arts in Philadelphia. The next day on the 3rd...I went to Irving Plaza in Manhattan with a different friend to see...

    What are you listening to?

    Tough to beat King Crimson

Anyone else use the Digitech Drop for Bass (or any pitch shifter pedal first in the chain)?

Long story short, our band plays primarily in drop A flat for the time being, and even with a 140 gauge string and the bottom of my Spector Pulse, there would still be slight flub. After my wrist injury, using this gauge only became harder, so since I use pedals with my amp of choice, I decided...

    Who's In A Gigging Band?

We just resumed gigging in April after a year of inactivity (videos to follow from Shaker's Pub in Oakdale as well as an upcoming house show in South Jersey); also---this goes out to any band in PA, MD, VA, DE, NY, & of course, NJ: we will play with bands of all sub-grenres, ranging from...

Synth bass instead of bass guitar

Speaking from personal experience, I'm the bassist who HAD to create programmed bass as backup for our band, not only due to my job's occasional travel requirements, but due to a hand injury where I was unable to play for a while. Using the Solemn Tone Kraken plugin, I can say that even with...

Any current extreme metal bands using older Marshalls (plexi / jmp / jcm)?

You may be right about that; the documentary for their first album 'the Conscious Seed of Light' featured mostly Marshall from what I remember for their rhythm tones, and when I was subscribed to Nail the Mix, their engineer for owls described a blend of a dual rec, an uberschall, and the jcm800

Any current extreme metal bands using older Marshalls (plexi / jmp / jcm)?

Our most recent album tone includes a blend of a Marshall, EVH 5153, and Dual Rectifier (all routed to Mesa cab I believe): here's what that sounds like for all who want to listen Edit: perhaps not the most relevant to your question, but for shows we play that are more OSDM oriented and/or...

    What are you listening to?

My music tastes are all over the place; at work I started out listening to Whitechapel's 'A New Era of Corruption', then Fleetwood Mac came up & I'm just rolling with that.

Hey All, We're a band from New Jersey!

hahaha my Mom loves Bon Jovi and I've had to play some of their songs during my previous classic rock bands. As a matter of fact we have our first single for the album out, and the second one is coming out a week from Saturday, so here is the link for that: We're also on Spotify, Apple Music...
