S'funny. I never liked them but I just built one with a spalted board and now I'm working on a flamed maple board... Maybe my tastes are changing in my old age...
That DKA7 is pretty cool. I prefer rosewood fretboards to maple- of course, I'm building one with a maple board, go figure- but if it is anything like my Jackson RR7, it'll be great!
Post an ask thread- I'm sure there are guys who can tell without a doubt what it is. I'm thinking you got it priced right- those MIJs are thinner body and neck and play just awesome. I got one. But I like a hardtail, too. I like 'em all! I'm just a sucker for any guitar! Now, I'm a build whore!
No problem. If I recall correctly though, the old mij models all had 22 frets. The newer indonesian ones had 24. The MIJ ones are becoming rarer. But a JP7 is sweet too!
You could always run the serial number. .
Just trying to be nosy. I mean, helpful.
That looks like a MIJ 7420 to me man. I could be wrong but I am pretty sure that stripe is not an Indo feature. Also- its' got a LO TRS, right? I got one on an RG7420 to handle some insanely big strings. Maybe unwind a bit or pinch 'em with a pliers?
