I just used the pots that were in there. IIRC Rondo is loading Alpha pots in these guitars which is perfectly fine by me. Since there's no quality issue it's just down to values and I found that the stock values worked just fine.
What you might want to do is get push-pull pots to split the pickups, but I haven't tried that. I keep hearing that the Xbars have cool split sounds...
