The Novax was awesome, but by the time i found someone (Armstrong pickups) to make the angled pickup i needed with the dual output, i realized the 28 3/4" scale length on the bass side wasn't enough for B0 tuning and so i sold it to fund a custom guitar (good thing i didn't do any routing!!) I had a custom .116 O4P string made for that tuning but it just sounded a little to woofy and bassy.
So i got an Agile 930 that came stock with a .090..and the difference was immediately obvious. Actually i've found that not only is the 9 sting quite playable (no where near as playble as yours will be lol!!!!) but that for C#1 or drop B0 tunings, lighter gauges like .080 sound much more guitar like, with a similar amount of tension to a .070 tuned to drop E..but that's only a personal preference
Anyway, i'm getting Marty Siggery to make me an 8 string with the shape in that sketch on my profile page, so i'm still debating scale lengths. The pickup is there, just waiting for build to start.
I think there's a lesson learned here: if we are persistent, they can only close so many threads!

Yo. Sorry only just saw this message.. I'm still waiting! I chase Marty every couple of weeks and he says it's 90% done. Apparently my custom switching/outputs configuration was quite a challenge! Seems like his turnaround is around 3-4 months (it's been 4 months since i dropped off the guitar at his workshop) which doesn't surprise me given he is the only affordable ERG builder in the UK that i know of!
I asked him about making a custom guitar from scratch and he said turnaround for that would be 6 weeks.

You mean the one I sent back to have the pups redone? Yeah, I talked with Tom a couple of days ago and he's just waiting to get them back Villex. Soon hopefully. If you mean about my impending 9 string, I haven't ordered it officially yet. I'm still deciding on the fan and scale lengths
