I remember Gigantour in AC, too, but of course I missed it. I was wondering why they only did one run in AC. It's a pretty decent venue and has a great sound system. The last show I saw there was Collective Soul. They're one of my dad's favorite bands, so I went with him. Out of all the shows I've been to, I'm pretty shocked to say they were probably the best live band I've seen. Joel Kosche, lead guitarist, is a beast. It's not often you come across a guitarist who has a great sense of rhythm and has such a grip on lead playing, too.
So am I. You'd think AC would have a little more going on than pretty bland metal and sludge bands. AC doesn't even bring in many bigger bands. Once in a while something decent pops up, but it's a rarity these days. Whoever does the booking either sucks at their job or bands just skip over south Jersey.
There really needs to be some more places to play around here. It's a great area for cover bands, but that's about it.
It doesn't ring a bell. I'm not much of a metal head. Most of the local bands I know of and played for were around in Pomona, NJ or Philly.
