Hi folks,
Here's my attempt to catch Dime's tone on RTS
1° the sound (don't judge my sloppy playing)

Get File | GigaUP.fr
2° the preset on GSP 1101 (eq on amp sim goes from 0 to 10, gain and level from 0 to 100)
3°...
1° run an eq in front of amp with a "angy face" setting
2° on amp, bass 5/ mid 5 / treble 5
3° with a parametriq eq in amp loop, scoop the mid @ 1 khz wit a mid/little notch, and some low/mids about 500 hz
here you go for a great southern trendkill tone.
PS: if you don't have an eq pedal...
Hi mates, using broomstick bass (Gibson thunderbird preset, no drive), try this :
1/ copy your bass track
2/ On the first one, put TSE sansamp sim ( http://www.theserinaexperiment.net/plugins/TSE_BOD_1.0.zip )
with these settings
3/ On the second, put AMPEG SVX with these settings
4/...
And what about "false quad tracking"?
1 guitar on 100% left + the hass effect panned on 80% left
1 guitar on 100% right + the hass effect panned on 80% right
quick tip :in the midi editor, copy the snare and paste on the other value
F.E : if your snare is on 38, copy and paste on 40 ; you'll have more "plah"
so>>> 40+38 for rythm and slow fills and 38 only for fast fills

I agree for the rimshot ; I prefer the rimshot to the "center" snare, because most of the drum players use it on rythm. I use the center one on fills; alternating withe the "33" snare (left hand) and I add some "center" random in the snare rythm, to get more human touch. I 'll post full...
