Cool, thanks I'll check out their website. I didn't know they had guitars with trem bridges, I always thought they mainly just did fixed bridge guitars.
Yeah I was looking at some of the Petrucci and Jason Richardson Sterling guitars. They seemed like a good option, but after seeing a few demos and reading reviews, it looks like their tremolo bridges don't hold tune very well, which sucks because that's mainly why I want a new guitar.
Nice, I...
I was just looking at these Charvel models the other day, it's actually my top pick at the moment! I never considered buying a Charvel before, because I always saw them as more of a rock guitar for some reason. But it definitely fits all the specs that I'm looking for, and the quality looks...
Thanks, I was actually looking into those. I had never heard of Harley Benton before, they seem to get mixed reviews online, but that particular model seems to get mostly good reviews. Based on the demos I've seen and the specs definitely looks like a great guitar for the price. I'm definitely...
I'm looking for a guitar with a trem brige (non-locking), that costs $600 or less. I've mostly been playing fixed bridge Ibanez guitars for the last 10 years, so not really sure what's good right now with trem bridge guitars.
I'm mainly looking for a guitar that I can solo with and write leads...
Nice man that sounds awesome. Yeah I ended up getting the Death Metal and Dark Matter EZX. I agree the kick and snare samples were the main selling points for me as well, I really wanted some new samples to play with and they sound sick. I particularly like the Death Valley and Ocean DC presets...
Thanks for the clarification. For some reason I thought I had read or heard that EZ Drummer 2 couldn't do that. But that's good to know since I will probably end up mixing and matching expansions.
That's pretty interesting, I didn't know there were differences in the mix section of the different expansions. But I guess it makes sense since Modern Metal EZX is more recent compared to other expansions. That one sounds pretty great. I think I'll end up getting that one sometime in the future...
Thanks for the input. I didn't realize they had more demos and samples on the website. I originally didn't really like the sound of the samples from Drums of Destruction EZX, but the demos for it on the website sound great.
At the moment I'm thinking I might get the Death Metal and Dark Matter...
Yeah I was actually looking at the Modern Metal EZX as well, since I think it's one of the more recent expansions. I'll have to check that one out a bit more, I just hadn't heard as much about it. I agree that a lot of the metal expansions could probably be used for death metal with some...
Thanks, that's actually why I'm thinking about buying it before May 3rd. They have a presale going if you buy EZ Drummer 2, you get free upgrade to 3 when it comes out.
I might end up using EZ Drummer 3 more than EZD 2, but just figured I'd add both of them to my arsenal.
I didn't know the EZD...
I mainly play death metal and plan to buy the EZ Drummer 2 bundle that let's you choose 2 expansions. The Death Metal EZX seems like an obvious choice, but which other expansions would you guys recommend?
Is the Dark Matter EZX good for death metal as well? I'm choosing between that one, Metal...
If we're talking about mixing/mastering then this is probably the release I'm most proud of. Mainly because it's the closest I've ever gotten to replicating the sound I hear in my head. I mixed this 7 years ago, but unfortunately my progress in mixing and audio production has plateaued because...
True, I'll probably be doing that then. Looks like EZ Drummer 2 only takes about 4gb of hard drive space, so it's not too bad.
Really liking the Death Metal and Dark matter expansions from the demos I've heard. That's the main reason I wanted EZ Drummer 2. I'm assuming they're compatible with 3...
I'm actually still using Superior Drummer 2.0. I've thought about getting EZ Drummer 2 for a while but now that 3 is coming out I'm not sure whether to wait or get EZ Drummer 2 before it becomes unavailable.
Do you guys think there's any value in getting EZ Drummer 2 or should I just wait for 3?
True, I'm glad you brought up the springs acting as a reverb tank, because I was actually wondering about that as well. I looked it up online and couldn't find anything definitive on that, but I definitely found posts on other forums about people getting unwanted resonance from their springs. So...
Digging the music so far guys, pretty interesting to hear all the different styles.
