This is an older version of a Jackson, but I don't know anything else about this guitar.
Possibly a Dinky version?
2 volume knobs, 1 tone knob, 3 way pickup switch.
2 EMG pickups that just say "EMG"
So you're saying the internal speakers of the combo would be "inconvenienced"?
I'm pretty sure the speaker of the combo becomes inactive once the external speaker jack is plugged in.
I was wondering if there's any difference between the combo and head in regards to tone or sound in...
So I might be getting a 6505+ combo (idk if its the 2x12 or 112), but don't know if I should wait and get the head version instead.
I know the combo has 2 less power tubes and less wattage, but want to know what people think.
Is there a difference?
I want to run the combo into my Basson B412...
get a tubescreamer, turn up your mids all the way, highs to taste with the presence, lows to preferencel almost full resonance, small amount of presence
I'm getting a peavey 5150 II tomorrow and heard that there is an adjustable bias to make it run hotter.
Is this true, and is it something I can do myself?
Will Groove tubes be good power tubes?
Are there any tubes that will accentuate the 5150 II's heavy death metal sound (great in low drop B tuning, great for lows/mids)?
side note-
I heard there is a bias mod you can do to the amp to make it run hotter, but don't know a tech should do...
I'm getting a 5150 II on friday.
So I want to know what are some good tubes for a certain metal tone?
I think there are Groove power tubes already in it.
I don't know what are in the preamp (I believe something Fender)
I have a Basson B412 cab for great low end and mids.
Boss 10...
thanks,
I have no preamp tubes in the head, but used a thing called a "volume mizer" or "suck knob" and my tone sounded amazing....

What are some of the best tubes to have a metal tone?
I like a tone similar to a 5150, something with balls and great lows clearer mids for my basson b412 cab's "ripping" sound.
I play heavy tech metal with a Peavey Triple XXX head, Agile 8 string, Ibanez tubescreamer ts9dx, Boss Ns2 noise...
To tell you the truth, the Basson is my absolute god! lol It's distinctive "ripping" sound destroys my ears and i've pretty much got the best tone I could ever imagine out of it. But with the Basson being a straight cab and very well sealed, all the sound goes right out the front of the cab and...

How do I record the MIDI from my triggers and Roland TD3 into Reason 4?
I have the MIDI in and out to a USB cable, but don't know how to get everything set up (connecting the module and how to record).
Please and Thanks....
So I have been playing a few riffs with these notes, but want to know what kind of scale it is (if it even could be one) and the tab of all the other notes on the fretboard.
