It should yes, you may have to find the exact connection point, you can feel with the jack. It's not a great long term solution but it should allow you to see if that is the issue and then you can get an adapter or rewire a cable yourself to swap the tip and ring connections.
The footswitch that comes with the amp sends the channel switch control over the Ring in the TRS. If you are using the switcher in the normal way it will send the control through the Tip.
I think I might know what the problem is. Those amps use a two bottom footswitch to control the channel switching and fx loop on/off. The channel switching however is on the 2nd button of the switch, which means that if you use a standard 1 button or TS connection you will only turn the FX loop...
Noticed in the picture on this page that the cab has feet for standing it up sideways. Awesome feature, I use my 212 on its side all the time on small stages so the sound isn't blasting into my calfs.
I have own a JCM2000 DSL50 for 8 years and have used it for recording and playing live for a bunch of genres. Here's my take on the amp, I think most of this probably translates to the newer models since they are supposed to be the same basic circuit.
The "Classic Gain" channel is fantastic...
I usually play my 8 in standard F# but recently I have found that down a whole step (E A D G C F A D) works better on the higher strings with the long scale length.
For cleans and mid gain I better a Fender Bassman style 4x10 would be badass on an 8 string. Not sure about the heavy distortion though. What people generally think of as a heavy guitar tone is rooted in the sound of a 12" speak but could be cool with the right head/cab/speaker.
Is anyone else here doing the Gear Gods remix competition?

Here's mine, would love to hear other people's take on this...
My band just released an EP we're pretty proud of, I love for the SSO community to have a listen. I played guitar, engineered, mixed, mastered, and did the artwork please let me know what you think.

That's what I'm thinking especially after the things I've been hearing about Kiesel this week. Those roasted maple necks have me drooling. I'm a little nervous about the Enduraneck and I do feel a bit weird dropping $2K on a guitar coming out of the same factory as my Agile.
I'm currently saving for a new guitar and it's either gonna be a 2017 OS8 or a Kiesel VM8. I keep thinking I've made up my mind one way or the other but these SSO threads make me question everything haha. The only good answer is get both I guess
I own a classic 30 and have friends who own the 50. It's a fantastic rock/blues amp but does not really do modern tight metal tones if that's what your after. You can get closer with a boost in front but that's just not what it's built for. It does however have a way better dirty channel then...
Supposedly the ERD is an exact clone of an 808 so if you have the maxon you probably don't need one. I haven't played the Maxon but I A/B'd the ERD with an ibby 808 at the store. It was close enough that I don't think I'd pass a blind test and a fraction the price :yesway:.
I know a few...
