In my experience it's like riding a bicycle and after a few minutes (maybe hours) of playing you should feel pretty natural on either. It does help to have a mixed stable though, and to avoid practicing exclusively on one type of guitar for an extended period of time.
We've used my drummer's GoPro to record shows and while the footage looks pretty good I'd say the built-in mic is not. Makes the drums sound super boomy and has difficulty picking up the guitar.
