King Crimson are in my top 3 bands of all time, have been for a while and are likely to be for many years.
My favourite record by them is actually one of the ProjeKct records, I can't decided between 1 or 4.
I have a Metal Zone as well and while it does do MORE distortion than the HM-2 it does something "different" and apparently it's heresy to say so, but sometimes I like my Metal Zone more than the HM-2.
Sorry :(
Round of applause for Bob Taylor!
People can argue over whether this is a commercial thing all they like, I don't care. The man has decided to do something about an environmental problem that is caused purely by human desire for something that is not crucial to survival and therefore want not...
I had the exceptionally cheap Epiphone version which was cool but really eclipsed by the Jackson PS4 I replaced it with.
This is a cool guitar though. The finish choices are a bit mad for Gibson who should be releasing this in white, black and black with a tortoise style scratch plate like they...
Beyond Creation - without a doubt.
Surfed on here one day and stumbled across their video for "Omnipresent perception" being pushed by forum members, it is amazing.
When you write songs do they go:
Slayer 4
Grind 2
CHRRRRRRRRRN 8
Slayer 3
CHRRRRNNNNN 5
Grind 2
Meshuggah 2.673
Holdsworth (random)
CHRRRRNNNNN 12
On topic: I often find I am rolling back the gain the lower I tune, though sometimes I'm 100% in agreement with MF_Kitten and the only...
I don't believe the current Jackson "Pro" series is made in India or China exclusively. The bolt-on DKs are made in Mexico, the Soloists are made in Indonesia and also the Vs I believe.
The Indian guitars are the X and JS series, the SLAT-X guitars might be Indonesian as well, I'm not 100% sure...
I'm going with Max_M_L on this and taking back what I said about it being a DR2 with a different neck.
I can't believe I posted the catalaog page and then didn't notice the DR3 came in ash as well! And the DR2 only has 22 frets.
I think you've got either a Professional period Dinky RVS from 95 or DR2 from 96 that someone has put a Professional era Dinky RVS neck on. Whatever it is, it's a quality axe :)
I don't think you've got a Professional era Dinky Reverse because the pickup selector would be a blade three way then...
I am 39 later this year and apart from the fact that my disposable income is considerably greater than when I was 19, I'm pretty much still living the same "immature" gig going, record buying, guitaring, console game playing life. It's actually pretty damn awesome when I think about it...
I remember when Bolt Thrower had a one page article in White Dwarf when "In Battle There Is No Law" got released. I went out the next weekend and got the "Hardcore Holocaust - The Peel Sessions" records which included Bolt Thrower, Napalm Death, The Electro Hippies and more. From that point, at...
