I had a 2001 R7 Les Paul Plek'd by Joe Glaser in Nashville. They suggested it due to the age of the guitar & the slightly warped neck it had, which allowed them to do the fretwork with minimal material removal. Honestly it's still the best playing guitar I have. They gave me the printouts of...
I own a DC727. I do agree that Carvins are under 1,000 new, but thats given base plain specs. If you want a flame/quilt top or tung oil or a different body wood (mine's koa and I <3 it), it gets expensive really fast. Secondly, I think that you'll find you like the Carvin stock pickups more than...
Picked this up today. It's an '02. Ebony fretboard, Koa body, Quilted maple cap w/ black stain, matched headstock, tung oil finish on the neck, graptech saddles and sperzel tuners. Pics!
*I really hope these pictures work.*
Just to throw it out there, it's a 7420, not a 7620. The pickup routes and the skunk stripe tell all. Is it that big of a deal? Not really. But if I was buying it, I'd like to know.
I don't have a damien 7, but i think i can help out. I've got a rg7621 (6 inline tuners) and it kind of fits. The body itself fits fine, but length wise it has to be lightly pushed down in the case. If I take the back strap lock off, it fits fine. That being said, the headstock on a damien isn't...
The band Tesseract uses a tuning very similar to drop B on their album One.
The tuning is Bb, F, Bb, Eb, F, Bb, Eb. On their EP Concealing the fate, they use the same tuning except the Bb is dropped a step. I know it isn't drop B, but it's in the ballpark and it has seven strings.
