Just got my 060 in don't have any good pictures yet but here is a post from their Instagram that shows the finish off well.
First impressions are the setup is better than either of my other 2 Aristides From the factory. They nailed it, nothing to adjust right now. And then sound wise the more...
Could your house have been colder when you were seeing those issues? In my experience all my Aristides noticeably go put of tune as they warm up or cool down. It's very consistent though. Im assuming that the materials Aristides guitars are made of is more thermally conductive than wood and...
Ready to head into final assembly! Can't wait to see the chameleon finish in some sunlight or some different angles. I can already see more pink in the top left and a hint of copper bottom right.
Not looking forward to the final payment lol. It's ~$300 more than the first since the Euro has...
Yeah that one was pretty bad. I would imagine that their thought process was to keep it flat to show the amp's base tone like when people like to keep knobs at noonish while demoing. That way you don't get the impression the amp is a scooped sounding amp when they demo with mid knob completely...
I don't have any real need for this but the idea of my fm3 with the 4 cable method AND midi control from the FM3 to integrate the preset switches sounds really nice.
Yeah you could put it that way. In general it feels like you get more physical feedback in your fretting hand and fingers. It's was a little distracting at first to be honest but now It feels weird to play wood guitars.
I agree with most of what narad said. But I will also describe it in my own words if it helps. I have an 060r with BKP silos ( which used to have fishman classics) and an H/07r with BKP polymaths.
Acoustically they are absolutely louder than any wooden solid body guitar I've played. You feel...
They definitely do! In the last clip I was split on the neck pickup. I didn't tap on the coils with a screwdriver to see which coil it split to but I plan on trying them in parallel too. Nolly has said they are particularly good in parallel, maybe due to the coil winding offset? But even as-is...
Thanks, I agree! The raw models were added to be a "budget" option since the paint is very labor and time intensive but they look and feel amazing! The other one I have on order will have paint since I had a certain look I wanted to go for but all my guitars could have a raw finish and I would...
I've had my eye on Aristides guitars for years and ~7 months ago an 060R with my favorite color popped up locally and I snagged it. I liked it so much that it replaced my Music Man JP15 and I put that up for sale. I then put up my only extended range guitar at the time (an Abasi Legion Larada 8)...
That's great to hear! I was a little undecided originally on what pickups to go with. I think the polymaths will be great with Aristides since they can be unusually resonant and bass forward and from what I've heard the polymaths have a bit of a bass cut to them.
Thanks!
They are actually the BKP Polymaths. If I remember correctly Aristides sends their bobbins into the pickup manufacturer for the fanned fret models since they have a specific dimensions. Maybe you've seen Lundgrens in one with the same see through white pickup bobbins?
This just started happening to me today as well so it's not just you. Probably not a coincidence if both of us are having it happen on the same day and same website?
Maybe they have gotten better more recently? I had a 2016 VM8 I think it was? It was from the first run of VM8's. It's the only one I've owned but the flaws on mine were pretty typical of other builds at the time from what I saw. It was a great guitar for the money, just not exceptional or...
I had one of the Korean made Legion Larada's and it was fine. It wasn't perfect and definitely was a little overpriced for 2k but it was a sig model with some cool features so it was expected. But it was overall a good guitar, better than most to be honest, I've played 2k guitars that were...
