So this will probably be a long shot but I'm seeking another 8 string guitar player and vocalist (bassist too if possible) to start up a Deathcore/Death Metal band. For the material being wrote at the moment we're wanting a sound like Acacia Strain, Thy Art Is Murder, old Whitechapel, etc. I...
I think it might come down to how well your guitar amp and speakers could handle the low end since your not running through a bass rig typically haha. I hear the Orange Thunderverb 200 can handle bass and guitar frequencies
I've played an Agile brand 8 and I didn't have a problem playing hardcore style riffs, same thing with an Ibanez RGA8 and RG8. I just played it like I normally would but used more open notes because they sound awesome on extended range guitars lol :hbang: I own a Douglas Scope 727 Baritone 7...
I actually planned on playing it like I would my 7 string; chords, scales, and sweeps when I get there lol but just learning to apply it having 3 more low strings. They all come with Labella .009-.110 guages.
P.S. I just realized they are all 27" with 5 ply through necks haha
So I was browsing the Rondo Music website and noticed they finally have 10 string Agiles for sale! Pretty soon I'll be in the market for a new guitar and was wondering if it would be better to buy the one with a 27" scale or 30" scale or would it be that much of a difference? :metal:
I actually own a GT-100 and I honestly prefer it over the Pod HD 500 whether it's using it as a pedal board or using the built in pre amps to get distortion from my Orange TH-100. I tried both before making the decision and I thought the effect in the GT-100 were more realistic sounding that the...
If you're into tone that is more like Volumes or other bands of the sort, I would go for the Maxon OD808 or check out any of Protone's Dead Horse pedals, they have an OD808 circuit with upgraded components pretty much. I believe Misha Mansoor for Periphery has a signature Dead Horse
I've had the TH-100 for over a year and that thing gets some heavy distortion out of itself and I've personally was between the JVM and the TH-100 before I bought it. My only complaint is the gain gets kinda fuzzy cuz of the shape knob once the gain is past 1 O Clock
The Randall Diavlo 1w can throw out some heavy modern gain tones for real! The Blackstar can too but honestly I would only put it over the Diavlo if you were looking to play old-school thrash metal but it's a very versatile amp if that's more of what your going for!
Hey what's up guys? I'm about to get into the market for a new amplifier and I'm currently using an Orange TH100 but I'm looking for something high gain and portable which is why I had my eye on these 2 amps.
I already hear the EVH has the incredible tone but I'm wondering if it's worth...
Hi, I've been playing guitar in a band for a couple months and I figured I'd let everyone have the chance to check us out. If you're in the Toledo, OH or Detroit, MI area come check us out at a show as well!! :scream: We are a Hardcore band with influences from bands such as Bury Your Dead...
I actually was considering doing that at first but after doing my research, I'd just keep my 2 10's for the bedroom and get a 4x12 for all the loud, blow your clothes off stuff :scream::flame:
