    Hey guys, quick question. If you were to file a nut, could you put some fine grit sandpaper over the given string and pass it back and forth in the groove to file it down? Has anyone tried anything like this, or is there a better way? (eg small files)

    I just got a latching footswitch for my roland cube, and in the manual for the amp it mentions 'ring/tip' a lot in the footswitch section, but it doesn't actually say what this means :scratch: The footswitch works fine, but I can't help but feel that I should probably know what ring/tip means...
