AH. Strangely I spent a lot of time looking for an explanation of this... but putting X pattern into the search brought me right where I needed to be. Funny how that happens.
Is there really a benefit to doing this? I never found my effects loop pedals to be noisy... I'll post the results as I...
So I have had the boss NS-2 for years and never really used the loop on it.
I have watched every youtube video out there on how to use this pedals with and without an FX loop on your amp...
However I am confused with one thing. Lets say I have 3 noisy front end pedals, and 3 time based FX...
Thank you!
I did make an interesting discovery... so Guitar Center has a sale on SM57s right now for 10 bucks off... always wanted to record my guitar, or other things with a mic like that.
So I opened up reaper and just straight mic'd my 1x12 cab with my orange dark terror and an OD pedal...
that ilok thing seemed suuuuuper sketch. The website looks like something a tech support scammer would send you to in order to gain access to your system.
Some of these links to pluggins really kinda spook me. I can't even get neural to open with or without ilok.
I have down what you said in...
I could not get Neural DSP to work... installed it twice and it just won't open... it totally bugged reaper from opening as well.. I was looking forward to that.
I have a few tube amps and plenty of analog gear... just wanted to jam out at my computer instead of having to drag an amp into my...
Thats what I meant... an OD pedal plugin lol.
I found one... and it helped.
The one dude got me a lot further with this, I thank you very much. Still not where I want it, but the info really helped a ton.
update: Okay randomly ignite emissary stuff works... sounding a little better with the ignite amp sim and the nadIR... still not quite to where I say "that sounds good" but better being in stereo with the IRloader.
I think a good OD pedal would help a ton.
Thanks for that info!
I will give this a shot since I have everything down save for the IR part. So the IR loaded goes into reaper under the amp sim... is the IR loader going to know how to find the IRs I have? Or will it prompt me for a directory? How does that part work
okay... I downloaded zeta_IR
Can you link me to the LeCab? and why do you need this IR loader thing?
Otherwise... is there a tutorial for this? The info on youtube is so incredibly scattered.
I am h
i'm hearing the plug ins now that I Switched to reaper... now i'm trying to make them not sound like completely garbage lol.. this is going to be a long dark road/hole
Yes I do have the focusrite drivers installed properly, and everything set to ASIO.
Cynicanal can you give me an example of a good cabinet impulse to try?
Its absolutely not my CPU. I'm on a ryzen 7 3700x with 16gigs ddr at 3200 CL 14 and on and on... I work at FrozenCPU and am an avid PC gamer... THAT is not an issue.
out of every plugin I have tried, I can only get revalver and now blue cat to work... they both sound equally as shit.
I...
Okay well... I was able to open revalver in reaper. Unfortunately I still can't seem to make it sound good.
I mostly went out and bought this stuff so I could just play guitar through my computer with headphones or speakers, not so much for recording. I guess maybe my expectations were set too...
I don't really want to install a new DAW after all these hours of spent trying to figure out the one I have... okay so from what you guys are saying, I point it to the VST folder for the plugin... DONE.
So how do I "add" it to the track? if open that folder and try to drop it in anywhere on...
Thats the thing... I did exactly that! Dragged those files into the DAW, and or pointed the DAW to the folder... nothing happens. Not sure what the heck is going on here.
Also.. any idea how to make a simulator that works on its own play through a daw?
