I like the clean guitars and it fading out. It'll sound like it has more of a resolution. When you add that warp effect it makes it sound like it's leading into something else, instead of ending.
I'd definitely consider ordering a custom multi-scale from there, depending on the price and options. You asked him over a year ago. And the time he stated it might happen has passed. So contacting him again is reasonable.
I'd stick with something simple and solid, like figured maple. If you're new to woodworking as a whole, I wouldn't start with something difficult. I also wouldn't look for anything that has "luthier" or any such word in the title.
Also, that looks a lot like spalted maple. Burl is small/medium...
Jus tune regularly. Tune BEADGC, and when the guitars do stuff on their B string, go down to your B string, but match their low E with your E in the same octave.
RG7421, currently in Half step down, and it feels and plays great, in terms of string tensions and setup. Switching to F#C#F#BC#F#B. To maintain the string tension at about 15lbs per string, the low string will need to be something like 78, it's currently at 60.

RGA for sure. The Dimarzio Fusion Edge pups are brand new I believe, only in the new RGA and RGD. Since it's a passive mount on the RGA, if you don't like the Fusion Edge, you can just as easily replace them with something new. All in all, I'd go for the RGA. EMG's are good pickups, but I'll...
The Big Singles are available from Nordstrand's website, so in theory, ESP could use them, but these are the Big Splits. It's the same thing but with split coil. I've seen Big Singles used by a lot of boutique builders, so I don't think they're Ibanez exclusive.
Not to mention it has a Wenge/Bubinga neck like the Premium/Prestige Ibanez SR's have. Which I'm absolutely in love with. Now my only hope is that these sell well enough for them to stay in production long enough for me to get the money to buy one.
