Hello SS.org members!
The time has come for this beauty to find a new home. I love this axe and it's the primary reason I decided to put in a custom order with Mayones. That build is nearing completion and I've decided that I really don't need another 8 string, especially since I spec'd the new...
The tuning is, low to high:
Eb Bb Eb G Eb G Bb D
What do you guys think? What do you think a set of .009-.090's would feel/sound like on this thing? Any input appreciated!

I just recently bought my first 7 string. I got a Douglas Grendel 727 because it was only $175 and I'm used to the 27" scale length on my Buckethead LP. I'm going to upgrade to something else later since I did actually like having an extra string. I know it probably has to do with the string...
Id like to keep my higher string at a 10 13 and 17 and wouldn't wanna go any higher for a 64 for the 7th. I've thought about trying a 10-46 set for the 1st 6 but something tells me that'd be a little too loose, id like to stray away from the 10-52 set I've been using for years. What do you guys...
I have a bunch of guitars in mind I'm looking into, one specifically is a 27" 7 string I wanna use for mainly A standard and ocassionaly G#. I get Along real good with a set of 10-52s and a 64 on top for A standard on a 25.5" I want a baritone though so I can use lighter strings and try...
I really like the feel of 10-52's on the 1st 6 strings of my guitar with a 25.5" scale. I'm saving to buy a new guitar with either a 26.5" or 27" scale. More than likely going with the 27" because i'm usually a full step down. Can anyone recommend me a similar set? I've thought about 9-46...
Set aside Stephen Carpenters signature right on the fret board I think all the specs make this a pretty solid guitar and I've been fairly interested. I could deal with the signature on the fretboard but what really gets me is I see on some sites say it is made of alder while others say its made...
I've poked around at the idea of getting an Agile Septor Elite 727 for quite sometime now. Mainly because it is one of the few decent 27" scale guitars out there. As much as Id love to get one I hear they're kind of a hit or miss deal with the guitar you get for your buck. I hear the finishes...
Lookin for alot of tension in standard F#. Id like somethin along the line of tens, evenly balanced. Definitely good tension on the low b and f# as well. This guitar will be dropped a half step down from time to time.
I've looked into string tension charts but I can't find one that goes above a 54. Pretty simple question. How much of a difference would there be between a 64 on a 25.5" compared to a 60 on a 27"?
This is the first 27" scale 7DC. Rob will be putting up an option to place a $1000 deposit in a couple of days. If you place a deposit or pay in full you will be able to choose the finish for the guitar. Some finishes may be extra, inquire with KxK for details. ETA for completion is early...
Sometime in the next week I'll be getting my new Agile Septor Elite 727, and I'm probably going to be putting on new strings. So my question is:
What would be the best string gauges to tune to A Standard on the 27" scale length?
I got told to get my buddy(the 2nd guitarist of my band) a new 7 String guitar.

Hello!
I'm looking for models of seven string guitars that have a 26,5" or 27" scale neck. Or anything in between (if that exists). The only thing I really care about is real good upper fret exes and i prefer thinner necks. So any wood would do and it can be a floating or fixed bridge. I...
