Sometime in the next week I'll be getting my new Agile Septor Elite 727, and I'm probably going to be putting on new strings. So my question is:

What would be the best string gauges to tune to A Standard on the 27" scale length?

I'm actually using .09-.42 w/ a .54, but I think yeah a .56 on top would suit it alot better. I think anything bigger than that would be unnecessary personally, but I'm sure 90% of the forum will disagree with me there :D. Keep in mind, one of the whole points of having a 27" scale is so you can use lighter gauges to obtain the same tuning so you in return get a clearer tone, so my approach would be to go as light as you could, and then find your comfortable gauge from there.

How can you guys use that thin gauge.. ? Insane.
For A standard I'd use, with my Hellraiser C7 26.5" scale:
11-52 with a .64 on bottom.

I like it medium tight, not too loose. And its easier to archieve ultra low action with thicker gauge imo.
