Hey guys, I am fairly new to recording music and am extremely new to producing YouTube videos. Below you find a link to my song Awakened. Let me know what you think of the video quality, sound quality, angles, and any other tips or constructive criticism. Thank you!
I have a basswood Ibanez RG7 (RG7320Z), with D-Activator 7 neck & Liquifire 7 (coming in the mail).
The D-Act (neck) I plan to use in the bridge, but interestingly, both D-Act & LFire are "able" to be used in either bridge or neck position.
What do people think of the options here? I "can" do...
Here's the thing. Im gassin for a 7 string Ibanez. I have in mind four options, the last one the most expensive.
1) Ibanez Apex 2 with Dimarzio PAF 7s, mahogany body and Les Paul string through bridge.
2) Ibanez Iron Label 7 with EMG 707, basswood body and Gibraltar II fixed bridge
3)...
Looking to a buy a pair of new Dimarzios for a basswood body Ibanez. 26.5” scale, Hipshot Ibby bridge. Prefer brighter pickups. The Dimarzio Pickup Picker wasn’t helpful. Narrowed it down to these due to the bobbin color I’m going for not being available on the other ones.
Ionizer 7 bridge &...

Title pretty much describes it. But basically, I recently purchased a used Ibanez RG 7421 in white (I've always wanted a white RG) and the previous owner installed the Dimarzio Blaze pickup set, minus the single coil in the middle of course. Now that I've lived with these pickups for a few weeks...
I just picked up an RGA121 from my local Guitar Center the other day that was mint. I went in with no intention of buying anything and as the story goes I saw it hanging up in the "Used" section, took it down and played it, and then made a poor financial decision as I'm sure most of us here are...

Although I've always been interested in seven-strings, I had never played one that didn't feel slow and generally unwieldy in my hands, especially after years of playing shreddy six-string guitars. At one point I owned an old Ibanez UV70 which had a thin neck but still felt way too wide for me...
Another pickup thread for overthinking pickups... doesn't work too well with low tunings and this guitar has kind of deep lows (ash body, fixed bridge, bolt-on neck) in itself and Tone Zone having lots of low mids just makes it messy and flubby. I think there is snappiness and lots of highs too...
I've got an old BC Rich that has not been played in a while. I just set it all back up, but I'm very uncertain of what pickups are in here. They're not Seymour Duncan's because I believe they always label their equipment. I've had DiMarzio pickups that weren't marked with anything, so maybe they...
I'm thinking about buying one of these guitars... I have the cash now and I wonder how do they compare, perhaps someone knows the difference between them (humbuckers, feel, electronics...)
How do they compare? I'm totally lost and it's a large amount of money to spend so some insight would be...
I'd love to hear someone talking about them. I'm super interested in the set, it seems that the Monarchy series of the Majesty line of Music Man sounds super good, way better than the tones with the new Dreamcatcher/Rainmaker... So I was wondering if someone could help me and throw some...

This comes stock in his new Charvel signature and is paired with a PAF 36th Anniversary in the neck. I'm shocked at how low the pickup's output actually is, especially in the riff at 3:17 of this video. There's quite a lot of...

Well here we are again.... Some one's asking about pickups again.
For those of you who say my latest post in my RGI alu neck build thread, you'll know I'm still undecided on pickups for my build. I find it's easier to work with bullet points so I'll go ahead and list em':

I picked up a used Ibanez MMM1, but the previous user had done some weird mods. They put in terrible hum buckers, and a switch to switch the phase on the pickups. Plus they added push/pull pots to coil split. And both the knobs are volume knobs. But they had wired it in a weird way where if you...
Hi, guys
So this year I was lucky enough to purchase a '90 Universe "Green Dot".
Now while I have no problems with how the guitar looks and plays, I've been generally "okay" with the Blaze pickups but sort of wish there was some more aggression and tightness which I'm sure is something many...
I found a used DiMarzio D sonic for a good price. How are these pups? Won’t be able to try it before buying. I was looking at a Crunchlab but then this one popped up. I’m thinking of putting it into my Jazzmaster Baritone. Do they handle lower tunings?
