Quest to get to Drop F# on a 26.5 seven.

Currently searching for thick enough strings for this. I usually play 10-56s in Drop A. Right now I'm looking at a stringjoy set that is 12-72. It says it will add about 10 pounds of tension, so it'll probably require some set up, if anyone knows a better set please let me know. I'm also worried...

Best string gauge for Drop F# on a 26.5 inch scale length?

I prefer not having to buy custom packs and like tension on the low string to be around 14-15.

Drop F#, 10-62 Ernie Ball Cobalt Strings.

Is it do-able? My current guitar is a 26.5 seven string (not multiscale) and I recently upgraded from 10-56 strings. Drop G# is my main tuning and it feels great, but sometimes I like to dip into lower tunings. So, do you think my guitar would be able to do Drop F# (I do not want to hear...

    Drop F# on a 22.2" guitar

Downtuned the 22.2" scale to Drop F# using a 9-65 8 string set (without the two highest ones) and recorded a melancholic-Vildhjarta-wannabe tune. I know you're thinking "it must sound terrible, like a totally inaudible rumble of angry spaghettis that weren't eaten", but I promise it *probably*...

    Blackstar HT-5 with Drop F#?

So, according to the reviews of the infamous Blackstar HT-5h, it can power a 4x12 at any ohm you throw at it. But, my question is, will it sound good in Drop F#? I play progressive death metal, or as many proclaim it "djent". I'll be going to a school of music from there I will be playing live...

    String guage for unique tuning?

I want my 7 string down one and a half steps to C#-C# with G# on the 7th, but also to change sporadically to drop F#. I'm thinking .11-.52 w/ a .60 in the 7th. & the scale length is 25.5  opinions???
