Ibanez GRG121 and some letters....
It's been a while since I posted anything here, but I figured it would be fun to share my new mod platform. Reviews seem to be surprisingly scarce for an axe at this price point with such a nice look. The spec list says it has a roasted maple neck, but I...
Downtuned the 22.2" scale to Drop F# using a 9-65 8 string set (without the two highest ones) and recorded a melancholic-Vildhjarta-wannabe tune.
I know you're thinking "it must sound terrible, like a totally inaudible rumble of angry spaghettis that weren't eaten", but I promise it *probably*...
Great feeling guitar but poorly constructed. First the nut fell off after 2 days of play. Then while playing for some friends, I was adjusting the volume knob and it literally grabbed, tangled and snapped all of my wiring simultaneously.
I have the necessary tools to solder this back but...
My First Ibanez. Bought it about 2 weeks ago from Gallins Musician Pro Store over here in Australia for $400 (down from $500)
She's definitely the most beautiful thing I have ever owned.
First song I ever played on it was 'Flying in a blue dream'... well, the bits I can play anyway. :D
All...
So I was bored last night and I was screwing with the electronics in my Ibanez Gio, and I accidentally ripped the wires off one of the coils in my neck pickup. It was late, and I didn't feel like firing up the soldering gun, so instead I just taped the two wires together with some electrical...
In this adventure I shall be modding and hopefully making me old Ibanez Gio GSA60 into a much-less-of-an-eye-sore axe! :D
This is my first luthiery attempt ever. Let's begin with some pics!
Disassembled guitar body (Those are VANS stickers ripped off with a poorly drawn Sharpie Periphery...
I've had one of these for about 5 years. Old alder body model.
It was my first electric and It's been through a lot. For a cheap $200 starter guitar, this thing is pretty darn great. The neck is a little beefy like a Fender, but it fits my hand well. It's currently my Drop C guitar, but I've...
So I'm new to extended-range instrumentation. My first ERG I got a few months ago, an Ibanez Gio (7string). Having never been seriously interested in anything with more than six strings, I was completely blown away by the extended range and the doors it opened up. Since then, it's been having...
So i picked up an Ibanez Gio off craigslist yesterday. I had a Gibson Burstbucker pickup laying around and needed something to put it in. Originally offered $50 for the guitar but when i saw the shape it was in, which was a rusty mess, had to go $30. After a $5 trip to the hardware store for...

production is sloppy,i know!
My new Ibanez GSA60 comes with "sat10" bridge, like a Wilkinson or similar.
I`m thinkin there is somethin missing in the sadless, I hope you understand the pics, like a "metal chip" used in edge pro. Am I wrong? I can find a clear pict to compare.
What you think guys?
here is the metal...
:wavey:I bought yesterday this guitar to a friend, who buy it 8 or 9 months ago, because he think he can be rockstar :shred:*FAIL* so he wanna car now, and needs money, so, I pay 150$ for this (in my country, used guitars cost about 40-70% from new, not like USA, I will never ever could buy a...
