I currently play a Ibanez RG6003FM and I am looking at my next purchase to be in the mid - high end guitar spectrum(1000$+).
I was curious to know if there are any alternatives outside of Guitar Center and Sam Ash to be able to try out nicer guitars like an Ibanez Prestige, ESP E-II or Schecter...
Sorry if this doesn't go here (not sure if it should go in off topic or not) so mods can move it if they need to.
So I recently applied for a part time position at guitar center and I was just trying to ask about others experiences working there. I applied for both a sales and an operations...
I bought an iPad to make a portable rig based around JamUp with backing tracks.
I was hoping to get rock sounds out of JamUp for:
AC/DC crunch
Warm sounds with low/mid gain, for Rush covers
Mesa/boogie for higher gain crunch and lead sounds
The stock sounds coming out of JamUp...
I traded in my Hellraiser C-7 and my old ESP 8 string for this beast and I cant say that I could be any happier. Great tonal balance between the mahogany body and maple neck. It has that bite without being overly dark. The pickups are amazing. As far as EMGs go I've had guitars with the 808s and...
So overall as an instrument, the RG8 is what I expected. Stock strings and pickups are nothing to write home about, which I already knew. The pots feel pretty cheap, and the tuners aren't exactly the best either. But they work, and that's all I really care about for now. I was worried that it...
Hey guys,
I was in Guitar Center yesterday, and I picked up a matte black guitar with EMGs and a floyd rose special as what started out as a joke, (seeing as I normally am not a fan of instruments with either of those 3) but once I played it it stopped being funny. Fretwork was decent, the...
I recently bought a brand new Gibson LPJ from guitar center after an extensive search for my next exploration. I play in a growing metal band that tours extensively so good tone and reliability is a biggy for me. After acquiring this sweet guitar I plugged her in and immediately heard a feed...
Ive seen some pretty good looking deals on used tube amps from guitar center lately but I want to know what guitar center's used policy is for tube amps.
For example, CAN THEY sell me an amp with bad tubes? Maybe if still works but a single tube is bad? Do they check on that stuff or just...
So, today, a new Guitar Center opened up in College Station, TX(at exactly 7pm) and they had a grand opening, etc, and I was there. When i was playing my guitar(7 string electric guitar jamming out on amp) and this dude that works there comes up and takes a picture of the dude across from me...
So I decided to go to my local Guitar Center to see if they had EZdrummer. I wasn't 100% sure I wanted to drop $150 on it, so I asked the salesman if he had a demo version. He went behind the counter and gave me a demo....or so he thought.....
Later that night, I decided to install the demo...
I was recently laid off from my architecture job a couple of weeks ago...
In my search I went ahead and applied to Guitar Center....they are hiring for sales positions....and now they want to interview me...
But I am curious....do you really make anything there to make it worth your...

I'm a "guitar guy". I sell guitars, I fix guitars, and I generally deal with anything and everything guitar related.
I won't go into too much about the retail...
I remember when it was anounced that Greg was moving from ESP to GuCs in house brand Laguna and how everybody scoffed amd voiced their disapproval.
Well my friends here's your second opportunity:
Laguna LE924 Electric Guitar and more Solid Body / Six String at GuitarCenter.com...
:agreed:So I have been wanting to put together a new rig as off late. Initially I was going to try and put together an all solid state rig, but after putting together what I thought would be the ultimate SS rig...didn't sound so great.
SO...today I was bound an determined that I was going to...
Yo!
Tax refund time is approaching and after seeing an S7320 on GuitarCenter.com my desire for a 7-string has been rekindled. After doing a pretty thorough search, I'm still unsure what the differences are among the various models.
I called the local GC and was told about an S7321 w/o...

....here in South Portland, just to look around. The place gets me all the time. :noplease: You can't walk into that place without being bombarded by all the salesmen there dying to get a comission. I understand they have to make money but they talk to me like i've never played guitar...
...were apparently made as a 'custom run' in at least one model for a guitar store chain (probably Sam Ash or Guitar Center) but I can't find any references or pictures of any models anywhere.
Anyone know what happened to them?
And production models/numbers?
