Nice, I'd like to mess around on it but I don't think I'd ever get into it enough to really explore what it's capable of. Odd that it only has 2 higher notes than a normal 6 string and doesn't even go to low E. I wonder what the reasoning is behind this tuning, I'm guessing gigantic chords. It must work out nice for 2 handed tap techniques I guess. I'll stick to my 7 string though.

I think I saw this video in one of your other threads, but if it plays like this, then that'd explain it. Although the scale lengths are massively different.

Unfortunately, now I want something like that.

Need to see someone play this to understand why you would want an 11-string touch instrument with less range than a 6 string.

Maybe for something closer to what Stanley Jordan does?

He sometimes sets up multiple 6-strings on stage, not for the overall range, but to be able to play two parts on what would be the same area on a single guitar.

That seems possible. The tuning listed is just an 11-string extension of standard tuning with 4ths going down over and over but all within a 3 octave range. Maybe its just to be able to shred endlessly without ever hitting a low note lol.

I see now that this guitar was finished over a year ago and the photos are from 2018. I wonder if the owner has made any videos playing it?
