About the lefty vs. righty thing: How many classical musicians have you seen playing lefty?

Oh yeah, cool guitars to start on!!

This Build Tread will need some time till finish.... I have like 1-2 hours to spare on every second or third day... progress will be pretty slow - but at least there is some.

Managed to trim the headstock veneers flush to the headstock, rasp in the truss rod access, dry fit the Tuners (Wilkinson, they seem to be pretty good for their price!) and cut and sloted some fretboards. Nothing special there SteMac Miter Box and 24.75" Templates (without the first two frets > 22.2" Scale).

I made a conscious choice as a lefty to learn on right handed guitars when I was first starting out. It made fretting/playing muuuch easier imo but also I could walk into any shop and pick up a guitar to try it.
Normally I'm not a fan of forcing people to do things a certain way, but it's just going to make their guitar experience easier in this case ime.

Same for me. I started out lefty and made a determined effort to switch. I think I made the right choice in retrospect.

It would seem like a shame to me to put rosewood boards on these necks. Ebony would be a much better fit but I totally understand cost savings on mini guitars for the gremlins....
My little guy's are getting maple boards....
That also being said, I'm 100% against rosewood boards for some reason.... not even sure why.... I'm a bit biased I suppose.....

@Deegatron: those fretboard are made from Wenge. Same batch as the neck... This looks quite nice normaly.
Ah, quarter sawn then. yes, that'll look lovely. I always try to do Wenge fretboards flatsawn because it looks soooooooo badass as a fretboard like that.... but it always causes issues in the end and I regret it. quartersawn is the way to go with that stuff... at least for fretboards.

I realised the stair steps I'm reclaiming for the bodys are just wide enough for a Kidsmachine - pretty awesome! Some of them are made from two pieces of wood and I found one stair step where the glue joint is only ~1cm out of center.
Two body blanks done without resawing and jointing...
