I'm lookin to string an agile septor elite 827 with the right gauges in F standard. Was thinking about the circle k set with gauges 10, 14, 18, 24, 33, 45, 61, 82. I'm definetely looking for something very snappy and tight for faster playing (along the lines of nevermore). Anyone know how these strings will feel tension wise compared to something similar to a 25.5 scale with the same tension? If anyone could post a video in f standard with these gauges that would be awesome.

I don't have any videos, but my last set on my RGA8 was a D'Addario 10-80. It felt great in F, pretty much bang on to 10s on a 25.5" scale. It sounded super meaty and punchy, and could hold up to my ham-fisted picking, but it wasn't so heavy that it felt like a bass.

Awesome I've been wanting to try these for ages. How would these gauges handle standard? Think ill have any problems getting the 82 gauge into the machine head and bridge(string through fixed) without any modifications?

27" scale can be thought of a 25.5" with an extra low fret, so a set of strings of set gauge will have the same tension on a 25.5 as a 27 tuned 1/2 step lower.

What gauges would be the same tension as this set in f as compared to a set on the same 27 scale in f#?

There isn't an increment small enough for half a step, so either go 9-~76 or 10~84, 9 will be a little loose on a 27, 10-84 will be a nice tension but maybe a little thick. I love the tone of thick strings but plenty are less keen on them.

As you can see here, the string set you have proposed is more or less like the typical set of .010's in E on your dad's stratocaster. Some strings end up a little heavier, others a little lighter, but on average it's pretty close. If you like the way 10's in standard on your average fender/jackson/charvel/ibanez feel in standard than this is about perfect! If not, than this is a good reference point so that you can make it heavier or lighter on the bass or treble side to your liking.

len 25.5
E4 .010 dapl == 16.21#
B3 .013 dapl == 15.38#
G3 .017 dapl == 16.57#
D3 .026 danw == 18.41#
A2 .036 danw == 19.54#
E2 .046 danw == 17.48#

len 27
E4b .010 ckplg == 16.27#
B3b .014 ckplg == 17.89#
G3b .018 ckplg == 18.64#
D3b .024 ckwng == 18.13#
A2b .033 ckwng == 18.18#
E2b .045 ckwng == 18.51#
B1b .061 ckwng == 18.47#
F1 .082 ckwng == 18.62#

What string gauges would one recommend for Agile's 28.8" scale 8 string tuned
Fb, Bb, Eb, Ab, Db, Gb, Bb, Eb?? I like a fair amount of tension, but don't want it
to feel like a bass.

I'm currently using .080 - .010 on my RG2228 27'' tuned 1/2 step down to F standard. And i'm really not happy with the .80 gauge, it rattles quite heavily and doesn't keep the sustain for very long on a fretpressed note. I'm considering a Circle K set aswell. Allthough im not sure which one to go for. The upgrade from .074 to .080 for the F string was not that impressive, and my feeling is that an upgrade from .080 to .082 won't be that impressive either, but i can't say for sure.

I'm planning to get the balanced .086 - .011 or the Heavy bottom, light top .086 - .010.

Just a bit curious why you would like the sharp F instead of the normal F?

I apologize, I didn't even notice I did that.

So 28.8" scale tuned half step (F, Bb, Eb, Ab, Db, Gb, Bb, Eb),
with a decent amount of tension.

I'm going to assume that I wouldn't really need something
as thick as an 80 for a 28.8" scale? Or maybe tuning half step
would call for something around an 80, I don't know. I was thinking
maybe a 76 for the F, and a 60 for the low Bb???

I use a 60 for my low B/A string on a 27" scale and it feels good/holds together perfectly well for my applications. Adding another 1.8" would probably keep the tension nearly the same as my low B as at Bb. I don't think there is much benefit from going up much higher than ~18 or 19 lbs/string. I use an 80 for my low E on a similar 27" guitar and it holds together pretty well, but it doesn't feel or sound like what I wanted/expected from the 8 th string. It may be a bit thick for the application. A 76 or 74 with a longer scale to correct for the tension may have been a better solution.

I'm using a 74 for F in my 27" RG8. Pretty nice feel and sound. For Drop D# I would use an 82 for sure...

But if you want a REALLY tight feel I'm sure an 82 would be even more than necessary. My 74 in 27" tuned in F it's pretty tight, like a 56 en Eb in a 25.5" approximately.

But remember that the more thick you go, the worse it sounds

I have the 10-80 balanced in F on my RG8 and love it. 27" scale.

Slightly heavier wound strings should work fine.

My buddy uses that set on his Ltd H-338. He thinks it is great while I believe his 7th string is too floppy since we tune to F, Drop Ab. I play a Carvin DC800 and I use the 10-79 package with a 65 instead of a 59 for my low Ab and it works very well.

You might even get of with a 74 for the F depending on how hard you strum.
