Hi.
I am new to the forum, however I shan't do introductions here. I mention this only because I don't know if I'm posting in the right area as most people seem to be starting threads re pickups.
However the sub forum description did read "hardware, tech" and I'd consider this a techie issue.
So I decided to clean the pot on my old crybaby as it is very scratchy through most of its rotation. I also went to replace the old jack - style 9v DC input to a the standard one.
The pot still sucks - I think it is just old and needs replaced altogether. The weird thing is this.
With the new DC in connected the pedal works until I click it on. Once I engage the wah : silence. Not so when I use the battery alone.
Strange thing is that I did the pot one day and the DC the next. The day I did the pot this "engage wah - silence" thing happened. Next day wah works fine. Replace DC "engage wah - silence" again.
What could this be?
