Same string gauges and everything, but is there any discrepancy tension-wise between the two brands? I've heard of people saying Circle K's are higher in tension naturally.

Given the same gauge the CK's will tend to be heavier, therefore for the same pitch and scale length the resulting tension will be higher.

Correct. Most of the string gauges they offer don't match up anyway, CK doing mainly odds and D'addario doing maybe evens. But take a look:
len 25.5
E2 .046 danw == 17.48#
E2 .048 danw == 18.93#

E2 .045 ckwng == 18.53#
E2 .043 ckwng == 16.76#

A 45 is almost as tight as a 48.

The fact that they are a higher tension and sound better in the higher gauges is just a huge win.

Yep, Circle K's have a higher unit weight, so they need less volume for the same mass. Unless you used stainless steel D'Addarios perhaps, but Circle K strings will have more tension.

Plus they sound great. I must reorder whenever I next get the chance...
