Hi there - I'm replacing the bridge on my LTD which needs new holes drilling 56mm apart (current holes are 53mm).

Do you reckon BBQ skewers and wood glue would be strong enough to fill these holes and drill new? They are about 3mm in diameter and I can't find any dowel small enough.

Thanks in advance

ebay has 3mm solid dowels. At least imo ( although others may disagree) if you're talking about bamboo skewers, they splinter very badly. It may not matter much but I would still be inclined to use solid wood as opposed to bamboo. If they were simply going to be used as plugs that would be one thing but if I was going to be drilling into them, I wouldn't want to use bamboo.
