Hey, I'm about to build a minimalist pedal setup for my studio.

EQ and boost will go on my desk and I'd - ideally - have zero pedals on the floor.

However, I love wah pedals - and I want a buffer at the start of my chain.

Herein lies the challenge.

Typically, I'd start with a Boss TU3, but I don't need a tuner - and I don't want another pedal on the floor.

The Crybaby From Hell has a built-in buffer.

I could run straight into this with a short guitar cable and then tackle the longer run back to my desk with a buffered signal.

And I can power it with one long 9V cable from the isolated power supply at my desk.

Neat.

But can I rely on the buffer in the Crybaby from Hell?

It'll be present in 100% of my recording.

The higher end Dunlop wahs had good buffers IME. the only one that had shit bypass was the lowest end GCB95. The CFH is one of those wahs with the good buffer.
