Opinions? Finally got one of these and for me it’s good enough to forget the whole musicman kaizen thing. Everything feels like home.
Too bad he left ibanez and this beast got discontinued. Maybe I will make some luthier custom order stuff to recreate this cloudy top color in the future……0EFDD177-6BA9-40D7-9EAD-26F76EB4C450.jpeg06339233-1D35-4656-9A46-3B9F1F11DB3A.jpegADD8DAF2-6C90-4BE7-9E57-B2634D8BC003.jpeg

I remember wanting one when I was playing in a local band. Ended up getting an RG2228 instead. Sick guitar though. (TAM100)

I wish I had money at the time these were being produced. I need to have one some day.

Congrats on the sick fiddle!

I bought one of these when they launched. I don't really play 8s, but I'll never get rid of it because it feels so good, even if I hate the bridge a little bit.

TAM100 is one of the classiest guitars I've ever seen, congrats!

I had a TAM 10, it had lots of defects and I bought it new never been demoed. Sold it because the fretboard was basically falling apart in multiple spots. The TAM 100 looks to be made a lot better, I doubt you will have any issues with it. Awesome guitar, have fun shredding on it.

Sry to hear that, if my memory is not failing TAM10 was in the same Indonesia line with m80m right? I searched for one of these just because it has the look of the original Tosin's LACS guitar and for the Ionizer set. Can’t believe they are done QC this bad.
TAM100 was made by either Sugi or Fujigen. I remember Ibanez was never doing "own my own factory" thing so the QC level varies from different series, even some of the MIJ products (RG 550 565 etc ) were not so precised in detail.

That is some "vintage djent" stuff lol. I remember the old days of AAL, the TAM was very attracting.

Especially it has Dimarzio's Ionizer 8, very rare 8 string single coil

Nice guitar!

I bought 3 at 3 different times and returned each one. Absolutely terrible QC on these. We're talking "neck shifts in the pocket if you slightly jostle the guitar" level problems.
Can confirm. I was working for a UK retailer in 2013 when they arrived and the one we got had real bad fret sprout. I think the neck was visibly twisted, too. Dunno if they rushed them or what. If my new top-of-the-line guitar was barely playable and had horribly sharp fret edges... well, I'd just return it, too!
