Bought:
Gaffiero Modele Originale
John Ray Concert 640

Sold (or selling):
Fender 60s Classic Player
Eastman OM acoustic
Joseph Redman Torres replica
Helix LT

I've basically accepted that I am going to be a hack Gypsy and classical player. Holding onto my PRS JA-15 because it would be impossible to replace. And I do love that guitar even if I haven't touched it in 6 months. Eventually I'll get a desire to plug into a jazz amp again, and I'm going to be happy I have my PRS.

Have you made a NGD on this one? Can't remember...
No, if I could figure out how to easily and successfully post pictures I would. The last time I posted a NGD was back when photobucket was a thing - but have long forgotten my password for that.

Basically built a whole pedalboard, thankfully mostly from used gear so it's not insanely expensive. I still plan to add a Strymon Conduit for MIDI control of the Strymons and the end goal is to have a system that is completely wirelessly switchable with the Airstep.

The out section is mostly things that were bought to try and see if they fit my needs. QC was not feature complete enough for me despite liking it a lot otherwise. BluBox was missing a few features I would have liked and Iridium did not work well with my headphones. The Bogner got sold because my BluGuitar Amp 1 Mercury Edition could do everything it can at a fraction of the size and weight. Lucked out by finding the right buyer for it. Helix Floor got sold as I built the pedalboard.

... over there...
... and out go 2x Laney TM200 powered stage monitors (112+tweeter FRFR powered cabs)... They already had 25 years over them and still pumped good sound in them. Sold to my drummer's other band so they can hear their vocals and bass drum kick in their rehearsal studio. They'll shine there... Now that they're gone... I'm starting to miss them, but I didn't turn them ON for over a year or so... and they were bulky as hell to move at home...

I tried to get rid of my line6 variax bass but no one wanted it. lol

I did manage to sell my dt25 though for a decent price.

Bought:
sterling 5 string bass (used)
officially got my skervesen raptor 7
PRS mt-15 (used)
a boat load of plugins, and vst's. .....so many
sm7b (technically used, but it was unopened so like brand new)
yorkaudio IR's

I can't say I'm disappointed with anything I bought. Everything's been really solid all around. I got a really good deal on that sm7b.

Had a fun year this year with some new gear and joining an active gigging band.

Bought:
Schecter E-1 Balsac
Ibanez GSR205SM
Spector Legend 5
Line 6 PodGo

The basses and PodGo are for band duty as I’m their bass player. The Schecter is amazing. I never sell anything either like most of you guys haha.

lol add the ST7 to the list of things that went, I got tired of how little sustain it had and just how much better my stealth was than it. It also stung that a basic af schecter c7 played miles better than it, so I cut my losses and I intend on waiting until I can get either a good deal on said c7, or I can grab an ormsby.

ooooor if someone has a wr7 to drop for cheap that plays well that might show up ooooor the new xiphos

fuck it I'm just accepting that I don't wanna play anything that's not a traditional small strat (schecter c is too fucking comfy) or a star shape (the stealth is literally the perfect shape for any position)

Maybe another V since they're comfy but 7 string rhoads stuff is so hard to find

JP6 BFR Baritone was my acquisition of 2021. It's a great guitar, and I love baritones. Normal scales just never feel quite right to me for C standard and lower. It's a very nice playing guitar, and using a piezo pickup for acoustic baritone type tones is super fun, in addition to being great for all those In Flames and Dethklok riffs.

OP talks about the year as if it's over. It ain't over yet! :sephi:

At first I was thinking this wasn't a huge year (compared to some), but actually it was a great one for me. Got some really nice scores:

Bought:
  • ESP E-II Horizon III
  • Charvel San Dimas III USA
  • Jackson Soloist Pro SL2PQ MAH

Installed:
  • Duncan Black Winter + 2 x Parallel Axis Stacks in Jackson Soloist Pro MIJ
  • Titanium FAT block and EMG SPC in Charvel 475 Exotic

Discovered:
  • Favorite new amp (as an alternative to my bedrock Mesa Marks): Victory The Jack. Vastly better than the Kraken to my tastes. I see one coming to my house in 2022. I may wait until they add a Line Out as that is my favorite way to record late at night when the inspiration hits, but it's comin'.
  • D'Addarrio Pro Steel strings to brighten up certain guitars. My Warmoth with three Duncan Rails for example needed a little more top end spank, and these brought it.
  • Stepped up to Dunlop TIII 1.35s from 1.17. More = More!

As a Mark person myself, what drew you to the Jack? I almost bought a Super Kraken a few months ago, but the Jack looks very intriguing. Sound clips seem vaguely reminiscent of the Bogner 3534.
