Just scored this sick 2002 ibanez rg3120 body!

As of right now, i will be in possession of a recolored ibanez rg3120 from 2002. Essentially the last year of the rg3120 to have an ibanez LP edge! Been wanting one of these for awhile as they are essentially a j custom ( in my eyes with the woods it came with). The previous owner tok it upon himself to recolor the guitar are more appealing blue rather than the red it first came with. ( i like this color much better anyways)

I plan on making this guitar a Ryan Knight guitar ala knight's Jason Becker Tribute LACS. This should be a hell of a ride as this will be the Second build i've done like this. My recent build consists of an rg520qs with an rg3550mz neck....obviously the neck pocket didn't fit so i unfortunately had to sand down the sides of the neck for it to fit in the neck pocket.......(SORRY IBANEZ). the result is a very warm and snappy guitar that resides in C standard with Pink Seymour Duncan Black Winters. its my PGM100JB tribute guitar .

I'm looking very forward for the next couple months until i go to namm in january! i hope to complete this guitar by then so, I'll keep you guys updated!

Damn, mate. That is one tasty catch. I totally envy You. That is an absolutely beautiful color. Just mask the tremolo slot with black marker. It will look great with maple fretboard and black-cream zebra pickups. If You like Becker sound, You should absolutely try SD full shred neck pickup or even the whole set.

Being a huge fan of flame maple top guitars, that is really, really nice. The back is just as gorgeous. I normally don't praise the backs of flame maple top guitars as much as the front but that they went all out on that model.

Those are all beautiful guitars. I wanted to get a RGA420z in the Predator's tongue finish but as you know, they have a hefty price tag.
