To be clear, in their other soc media posts, Polychrome DSP is included in the tags, so likely not physical amps.
And one of their employees clarified that it doesn't have anything to do with the old Carvin amps.

Carvin' Amps
That would be called a combo
I'd be excited if they could go a little farther than that - let you customize a bit of how the amp functions. Optional boost. Optional EQ before the power section. Optional midi switching. Option of tube types to use, pick your transformer, pick your reverb tank, maybe pick some cap values. That's kind of boring if it's just going to be a plugin. A physical amp with the 'semi-custom' approach to shell colors, panels, knobs, lighting, etc. would be more interesting.
Doesn't Revv kinda do that now with all of their amps? Would be nice to get more companies who do that whole thing. That's kind of boring if it's just going to be a plugin. A physical amp with the 'semi-custom' approach to shell colors, panels, knobs, lighting, etc. would be more interesting.
Lame. I don't want some "high end" overpriced BS amp that sounds like everyone else. Bring back the affordable amps and add some cool custom options. And one of their employees clarified that it doesn't have anything to do with the old Carvin amps.
Revv, Mesa, Soldano, Splawn, Bogner (IIRC) all do it. Probably more on top of that. You pay for it, though.Doesn't Revv kinda do that now with all of their amps? Would be nice to get more companies who do that whole thing.
I just don't understand who this is for.
Exactly. I'm more interesting in the sh*ttalking here than the plugin. YMMV.For SS.org enjoyment
