Thank you Bender. Now, this one has been a long time coming. I've had the guitar for a few months, and just have not had the time to sit down and do this NGD justice. So here it is. Absolutely the finest instrument I have ever played on or gawked at. I am floored at the detailed craftsmanship, functionality and beauty, and tonal bliss this guitar contains. First specs, then pics, and some more feedback. FYI, I have zero recording capacity and my gear is in multiple places but hopefully in the near future I will get a few riff clips up on soundcloud and share them here.

So, right out of the SKB case this guitar was perfectly set up and perfect in tune. I've messed with the pickup polls a bit, but basically it was ready to destroy all life as we know it without tinkering. Acoustically it sounds huge with chords ringing out fully and clearly while sustaining throughout the entire instrument. You really "feel" chords. PLugged in it has a beautiful clean tone, a bit compressed from the pickups and woods, but balanced and clear. The openess is stunning and harmonics are effortless. Roll the volume and tone back a bit and it just sings. The neck pickup excels at clean passages, a la Satriani's "ZZ's Song".
Switching over to channel 2 and 3 of the Invader 150 and ultimate destruction ensues. The chords are massive and tight as well as clear. Both open and chugging riffs pack a punch and depth that is earth shaking. I love it in both mid heavy and scooped tonal ranges; there is nothing this guitar cannot do. Instricate riffs and runs sound punchy and mean, and there is a distinct growl to low end notes in both B standard and dropped A. The harmonic squeels are pure evil! The pickups are a perfect match to this guitar, though I would love to hear this with an AV bridge and ceramic neck. But, I don't want to pull the matching pickups out; no f'ing way. If anyone is considering an alternate to boutique pickups like BKP, Lundgren, or the new Duncan 7/8s, Rob can whined anything just as well, and his are nothing short of world class tone, response, and dynamics. Soloing is a breeze as the PME fretboard is liquid smooth and snappy. Bends are effortless and the upper fret attack never ceases. Sustain? For the rest of my life.
This is a once in a lifetime kind of guitar. As much as I GAS for a Mayones 7, Blackmachine B7, Vik Duality (FF8 run woop woop!), I am an instant KxK whore. I would never be afraid to grab one, but rather be excited to let it rip. I bought this being tired of waiting on my BRJ custom... and it was well beyond worth a blood sacrifice on a full moon (my wallet).
So enjoy the porn, and hopefully I'll have a clip or two up someday. Pretty good 1st NGD post eh? And please don't kill yourself after viewing this.
