This guitar is the bomb diggity. Absolutely dead mint, could be resold as new and no one would know the difference. Never been dinged, never left my smoke free home. Literally 10/10. I bought this Mayo NEW from WiredGuitarist on July 29, 2016. Comes with OHSC, all paperwork, etc.

You can see a video review of the exact guitar here:

What I'm after: MINT Ibanez JEM. Got a sudden urge to own one. Not an expert on all the variants but will do my research before committing to a trade. Must have well known references, and mutual references would be a huge plus.

PS: I'm in the process of remodeling a home. If I don't respond immediately, I'll get back with you as soon as I can.

Which Jem are you looking for? There's only a handful currently in production that would be a fair trade by price. Otherwise you'd be getting massively ripped off. NONE of them will be a fair trade for your Duvell in terms of quality. They are nearly all made in Indonesia now, except for the customs & specials which run $4-7K.

I own both and would think if you can afford a home remodel, you can afford to keep your far superior Duvell and buy a $2K Jem. I'd suggest the Blue Floral Pattern or just bite the bullet and get something special like a UV77SVR. Good hunting!

I could just go buy a $2k Jem if I wanted to.. but a marriage kinda changes the consequences a little bit. Especially a new marriage

I'm interested in 777s mostly, but would fancy several of the specials. A 10th would be cool too.

But maybe you're right. Maybe I should look at getting a player's Jem first.

Lying is crucial to the health of any marriage. I told my wife all the guitars I bought over the past few months were free because I got them pennies on the dollar via collector's estate sale and sold one at 90% MSRP to cover my costs. It was too elaborate not to be believed.
