Hey everyone.

I got myself an Ibanez RGA7 a couple months ago, I was really impressed by the guitar's playability and for the price (465£) it was very well made.

it's equipped with a standard three-way toggle switch and another switch which acts as an EQ switch of some sort which was designed to work with the active LZ-7 stock pickups.

putting aside the amazing playability I wasn't totally convinced with the sound of the instrument so I've had installed a DiMarzio Liquifire 7 and a DiMarzio Crunch Lab 7 (Petrucci's set) instead.

by default the EQ switch was rendered useless so that has been changed into a kill switch. I also had them install a tone pot. both pots (vol + tone) are DiMarzio.

so now i'm 100% satisfied with the sound of this guitar, the only thing I wasn't too keen on is the huge soapbar like cutout the stock pickups left in the body which has left alot of gapping in the pickup area as you can see below.

I got pickup rings on mine. The OP basically did exactly what I'm doing with mine, except I have the bar towards the neck. I love my guitar.

Congrats! I also have the same pair of pickup, bought used from SS user here. It's S7320, with natural finish which is rare.. For the price i paid, i think it's a bargain. Love the pickup combination.

It's my first post here and i'm officially a 7 string user now!
