My new bass finally arrived shortly after Christmas and I'm damn happy with this beast!
I already own a 5-string Esh Stinger I in the dual singlecoil configuration but also wanted a 4-string in addition to that. So here it is!
Got the Stinger I used back in the day but this Various is a brand new one. Was a tiny bit worried I'd miss the second pickup, but so far, I don't.
Electronics as follows:
- Master Vol
- Master Tone
- Pickup selector (which in this case just splits the humbucker)
- Eshtronic mode selector with the following modes:
1 Studio Mode (EMG directly to output without vol and tone)
2 EMG with vol and tone
3 EMG and piezo bridge with vol and tone
4 piezo bridge with vol and tone
Immediately had to take the EMG humbucker down quite a bit because that thing really packs a punch plus I play with relatively heavy attack, too (fingerstyle mostly and some slap). Yesterday I put my preferred strings (Sadowsky Black Label Steels) on and now it's an awesome sounding metal bass!
