As well as Doug (Congrats by the way on being shredder of the day today ) i also entered it so i thought i'd let you guys know

Also sorry for my absence as i've been busy doing band stuff.

Anyway heres the video i submitted



Since the guidelines were not that clear i just did some improvised shred stuff, doesn't really show my melodic side though but to do that you could just check out my other videos on Youtube or even my band Collibus.

I used an SM57 on my amp, can just sort of see it on the top left speaker and yea im a fan of nevermore

Thanks man! Ahh, sounds good. Unfortunately all I get use in my videos is a PODxt as I don't have a good enough pre-amp to mic the ol' amp.

lol i know the feeling, my mbox isn't too great pre-amp wise that i usually end up using my Pod XT Pro using SPDIF. Plus i can't crank my amp in my house haha.

I'm probably gonna get nowhere in this competition though, not really bothered though if i don't as i agree with you that guitar contests are not that great, least i'm getting the first 50 to upload stuff haha. It has helped my band out though, people adding my band due to seeing the video so i can't moan there
