I would think the bigger the forearm cutaway the better in terms of extended playing sessions.

It will be a carved top with a 20 mm top, so the carve should take care of the arm bevel.

Currently awaiting delivery of the flamed maple top, I hope basic wood work can commence next week

That is the beauty I am waiting for, I think it will be worth it.

Neck now in preparation, it will be a 9 ply Pao Ferro/Flamed Maple/Purple Heart Combination. Headstock design fixed as of today, too.

I am afraid I don't follow... The unstained body and the stained one are the same, ain't not veneer on that body - only a 20 mm flamed maple top

Whoa, that is SO weird.... unstained, the "horizontal" grain shows, and with stain, it's the "vertical" flame that pops

I thought you covered the first bare body pic with a different flame maple top/veneer
