I got the email from Bandcamp about this. It's been too long since I've thought about Cloudkicker, so this was a lovely reminder of the excellence that is Ben Sharp.

Also, that album art is dope.

Love the album art, been forever since I've listened to Cloudkicker. Thanks for this.

I've been a fan of Ben's since The Discovery.
I dig the album. Realistically there's only 3 heavy tracks (Xaoc/Blackbird and Void) but I'm fine with it. The balance between that crushing wall of sound and delay laden post-rock guitar riffs that linger in the air feels just right imo.

Got the email for this yesterday and am suuuper excited. Every time I get a Cloudkicker update from Bandcamp is like Xmas. He tricked me a few months ago when he consolidated a couple of his older works into single releases for easier book-keeping.
Definitely gonna get that physical release.

The first big riff in Xaoc has me grinning like an idiot. Cloudkicker songs are always such inspiring adventures, this is making me want the day to go by quickly so I can go home and record stuff too.

Blackwing opens up the same way, such freaking cool and melodic riffs.

This new record is FIRE!! Feels derivative of Beacons. I hope everyone takes a moment to donate to Ben's hard work!

One of the best experiences ever will be seeing Cloudkicker live while tripping my balls off.

That is so sexy. I wonder what he will tune it to. The fact that it's baritone makes me think lower than his usual tuning.

His usual tuning is Drop B, he might just want a tighter tone in that tuning? He's been recording everything on a Les Paul iirc, except for the earliest stuff that was on an Ibanez... SA, I think.

Either way that guitar is the bomb

Yeah, he was using the Les Paul when I saw him live as well.
