Jesus I love this place! Check the new JCRG 8420S(NT) hat showed up this morning on their site. Yes a 6 string, but a spalted maple top with a vine inlay on the board, and no annoying single pup in the middle (fucking hate a HSH config).

This is this kind of shit IBZ does that intrigues me.

I think there's a lot of reflection (especially the headstock), but the trem looks clean.

Looks like you're right - here's the description:

Super good bargain beauty item used item! 2001 make. J-custom which obtains the appraisal which is proud of the specifications and quality of the domestic highest peak, is high regardless of domestic. The ??? prayer intense of 7 chord guitars of seeing it arrives necessary cheaply! As for this first JCRG7-1 which becomes the period model. You used not to spare ???? May pulling where the highest quality is beautiful, it is most significant & the first class model even in lux of this kingcraft. The neck and the control section which are finished politely give play ability of superlative to the prayer not only beauty! The hard case has done the defect item, the striking scratch (paint to be lacking) and also the pickpocket scratch because of large number, large discharge with this super intense cheap case. J-custom arrival is not almost, very much it is to be the model of popularity and same sell you are not wrong. As for the one which you search propriety to this opportunity! * The person who does the scratch and state to the air modesty. * We send the picture of another angle to desired one. Wow... that spalted top looks sweet. Did anyone else notice that the neck specs list "Titanium reinforcement"?

Yeah,it is very pretty!
There was some talk the other day on Jemsite about Ibanez introducing a Titanium reinforcment system on the necks of their new high-end models.Sounds like a great idea.
Perhaps they'll reveal further details at NAMM.

I just had a look at that JCRG7 and it looks like half of the headstock veneer has peeled off (or just a bad picture perhaps?).

That JCRG 8420s is lovely though. It looks like the Spalted Maple is a nice thickness and not just a paper-thin veneer.

This guitar is only the second 6 string in recent memory that makes me want to go back to 6 (the other? Kevan's RGPAINT)
