If you have read any of the guitar center threads on this site you may have heard me mention this guitar before.

I present to you a busted ass 25th Anniversary Ibby. Long story short, this guitar has been sitting in the shop since they came out (see pics). I told them to take off more money and I would buy it...so they did!!!

AND NOW FOR THE SAD PART. :noplease::noplease::ugh::ugh:

Longer story:

When I bought the guitar it was completely unplayable, fret buzz from 6th fret to nut. New set of strings and an 1/8 of a truss rod turn and she plays like a dream.

As for the damage...a guitar center tech did it a month or so after it came in. I had planned on buying it if they had it a month later. Well when I came back it looked like this. :noplease::wallbash: So it sat around for over a year.

I actually bought this as a 'nice' beater as its already damaged

Come stock with an Air Norton in the neck and a D Activator in the bridge.

Only complaints are 8th fret high E string is dead and I actually hate the finish on the neck. The neck actually collects dirt and grime...and builds up quickly :ugh: I'm going to sand it and oil her up.

I really do like these, just something about a red guitar for me - so big congrats! But that is a hell of a chunk out of the horn!! Damn! I hope they practically gave it to you! ;)

A GC Tech did that? What the hell was he doing, using it to hammer a nail?

That sucks about the lower horn, but those are still sweet guitars. There is something about the reversed Ibanez headstocks that just looks so cool. HNGD!

HNGD! I'm also curious to know how the hell a GC tech did that to the lower horn :ugh: I can't say I'm surprised that it happened, but still...

Thanks guys!

From what I was told it was his first week on the job...but dinner think that's as good excuse. How he actually broke it...no idea... Because it does look like he just smashed it.

Wow. That's a total shame. That being said, those are fantastic playing And sounding guitars.

I remember playing one of these at a GC a year ago or something - was one of the first Ibanezes I've ever played and I honestly liked it a lot. Still can't believe a tech at GC could do that, first week or not. o_O

Either way, HNGD man.

This was the first and probably will be the only Indo Ibby I buy. Nothing against them...I just don't like lower level Ibanez stuff. But for the crazy price I would easily buy this guitar 1000 times over.
