  • I almost feel guilty accepting the friend request since it actually might be my least favorite of their 70's release. But I listened to it several times before coming to that conclusion! But on the whole, Yes is amazing. Saw them live a few years back (no Jon and no Rick), Howe is still a beast. Looks a skeleton with freaky big eyes, but man can he play.
    Haha, that's awesome! I feel like a rousing rendition of Mexican Americans now!

    I've got a 10 year old son with a really good sense of humor, and I want to show him some old movies to see if he'd like them. Not Cheech and Chong, yet, but I think he'd love some classic Monty Python. Then he'd understand what the heck I was talking about half the time. :lol:
    Haha, only a little, but it's a heck of a lot less effort to toss out a snarky one-liner than going point-for-point :lol: Gaza thread has me debate drained. Lance is a total waste of time though.

    The more he posts the more I wonder if he really is Eric with his fundie mode turned off.
    It's wonderful. One of Philip Seymour Hoffman's great performances. Everything about the film is perfect.
    You straaaange mofos! My username just came from mixing guitar solo with Houdini. Initially it was teenage ego, now it more reflects my evasion of guitar solos. I wish it was a Charlie Kaufman reference of some kind.
    Thanks for showing Solodini this weird thread. :lol:

    While I have yam* in my intestines, I cringed every time that couple showed up on screen. Being tickled by shrimp sounds like the most horrifying torture a person could undergo without experiencing pain. Regardless, that movie is a work of art. I enjoy the variety and scope of the narrative. I guess that there is a whole subgenre of Japanese movies about food. I'm only familiar with a couple of them. Have you seen Megane perchance?

    * No, not this:

    Not sure if you're being facetious. I certainly was. Anyway, if anyone wants to take the name of The Dumpling Guy and fight crime alongside me, I'd be totally cool with that.

    I'm surprised that somebody else on this board has seen Tampopo. However, the crowd here seems to be very well-cultured and surprises me often.
    I had in my mind mainly ITW Matija when I read your post and not so much JPhoenix19. At least he wasn't that inflammatory and tried to participate in the conversation, I think your subsequent posts deserve more rep.
