So yeah, saw this Intrepid 828 Darkburst B stock for $399 on Rondo and i was like I MUST HAVE! :shred:

After a short talk with dad and after watching the Rugby (GO ALL BLACKS) he purchased it.

Sweet, it comes in a week! Actually less... 5 Days, like it said - cept me and Dad were eating Cabonara pasta and were too engrossed to hear FedEx ringing my door bell - that was yesterday.

Up at 7am, out the door by 8.20 - we dropped brother off at school and proceeded into town past the airport. Nice lady at the FedEx desk already had the Box from TEH USA at the front waiting for us. About 30s later, I HAS MY 8 STRING.

THOUGHTS
Well i didn't think that i'd get used to the extended 28.625" scale, or the extra strings - but about 20minutes into playing the god damned beast - i'm in love with it. The finish is really really nice in person and there's no dents etc on the body of the guitar. Fretwork is okay, couple of bumps and dents on the neck, (only like millimetres in length).Cepheus is good and tight, albeit lacking OOMPH (saving for BKP now?). The neck feels absolutely amazing, MUCH more comfortable than i thought it would be. Body weight is also amazing - AMAZINGLY lighter than my Schecter Omen 7 by FAR.

CONCLUSION
Absolutely amazing guitar for its price, sounds great, feels great, looks great.

what the hell do you mean its light? my intrepid is by far the heaviest gtr i own! :lol:

gorgeous man. i love the intrepid shape. i said the same thing when i first got mine "oh im never going to get used to this longer scale" but after 20 minutes i felt right at home. i like the darkbursts that end in black rather than reg but your is still hot nonetheless.

OF COURSE there was the case, extra strings and shipping and freaking 12.5% GST which pushed this to about $1050 NZD, which is roughly $740 USD all together (shipping, case, strings GST etc).

New Zealand is just TOO far away sometimes :fawk:

Super fail 2am shittiness.

But you get the sounds... Ish - it was actually freaking 5 minutes.. but only 1.24 were uploaded. TALK ABOUT CRAPPY!

Anyway, its in EBEADGBE for teh '10' diminished fagginess (not actually) and mr Tosin, and Stengah.

Drewsif's Agile was SUPPOSED to be in this but it cut out then for some reason... :scratch:
