NGD! Huge box content.

I posted last week about me getting my Agile Pendulum 8 string, and how I needed an amp.
Well yesterday I ordered what I will be using.
And it arrived today.

Here are some pics..

I arrived home from work to find this rather large box from Amazon on my bed..

I cut open this rather large box to find a bit smaller box inside..

What is this!?

I think my kitten is excited as I am..

Here she is, out of the box, and on the desk..

This arrived in the bundle as well!

And here is where she'll sit unplugged until I get some monitors.

I think the kitten likes the boxes..

Just picked up a hd pro as well to go along with my new aw-7. You are gonna love the hd pro, throw some headphones at least into it to use while you wait on monitors. Best patch I've found was on customtone, tesseract patch.

Can someone help me decide between monitors?
I'm planning on ordering today.

These M-Audios

And these KRKs.
I've never heard a bad thing about the KRKs, just wanted to know if it wouldn't really be any different and to save the money?

Noob question: Why do so many people use monitors to play this things
instead of a power amp/cab setup?? Is it just a matter of not wanting to play
at high volume?

I'd say yes on lower volume, and studio monitors are a lot more transparent.

How do you like the monitors dude, have you had a chance to try them out with a recording yet? Im thinking about grabbing these as well, but they will be used just for mixing recordings. I've got a monster 4x12 with Governors to lug around to shows lol.

I don't know much about pro-audio and recording, but the monitors sound pretty good IMO.
I messed around with them this morning before work and they sounded pretty good, surprisingly even at high volume.
I'm using them mainly for bedroom playing.
But I recorded a bit through Audacity..
And they didn't seem too bad.
But like I said, these are the only monitors I've ever used and they sound good for what I need.

Saw them at Samash and Best Buy for 299 + Tax.

Got them tax free through Amazon for 220.

Amazon Prime is my friend.
