Hi! This is the guitar I've waiting for years. And now I've found it on my local second hand market, I immediately got it and it turns out the previous user has maintained this pretty much in brand new condition.

Lepsky is a Russian guitar brand, and it's known for the build quality. Shokran's guitarist has a signature, and this is the model, there's a logo on the 1st fret.

It comes with a soft case. When it arrived on my hand, I immediately felt the build is very well. Frets are smooth and plays flawlessly. Build quality is really superb, all frets are cut perfectly, neck joint is pin-point accurate, finish is perfect through every corner, even the electronics cavity is welll treated.

But not only build, it also sounds terrific. It's using Russian boutique pickup called ARB. ARB uses a lot neodymium pickup magnet, which is very strong and long lasting. The model I'm using is called puncher-7, bridge pickup has a monster of 19.6k DC resistance! Really unique pickups, they are compressed but has lots of pick attack. Lows are bouncy and tight, can have hign gain chug heaviness or tight mid gain djent style tonel, depend on amp settings. I've tuned to drop G# for now, tried some Periphery style stuff and it suits very well. The 3rd postiion (both coil split in parallel) is super handy to thump, it's THE thump sound I like. Indeed it's a high output pickup, but surprisingly it sounded very good with clean amps, especially with coil split. Overall very solid tone, leans a lot to prog/djent stuff. Even it has very high output, it somewhat reminds me of Lundgren.

For the issues, I honestly can't find much. There's a bit oxidation on the screws which will happen after time and it's very normal. The only 2 things I could think, are maybe the pot and shield. It's using Alpha pot, which could be better if it's CTS. And the cavity could be shielded with bronze or aluminium foil, as in my experience they work better than paint. Also personally I like maple fretboard more but this isn't an issue, it's just personal preference.

The previous owner said honestly he doesn't want to sell this, but for some life reasons he has to let this Lepsky go. It costs me around 1700$ (converted to dollar), which I think is a killer price, as this is a custom guitar with top notch quality. Build quality seems much better than my 2016 Overload haha! Also i can't read Russian but there's sort of certification card.

Those pictures are half from the previous owner, as you can see my place is a mess now. Definetely will organize tomorrow and take my camera outside to shoot this beauty more, and upload to SSO as well. Can't wait to shoot with my camera!

Here comes more picture!
I attached files but strangely I could upload 4mb file yesterday, and today even 2mb it says too big!
So I have compressed the pictures to 3000x2000, high to medium JPEG quality that still looks good enough. Now it's about 1-2mb file each.

I shot these pictures with Sony A7RV and FE 24-105 F4 G OSS, the original size is 50mb per file and that's way too big for sharing. Very little color grading.

It's now tuned to Drop F, with a custom gauge set of 12, 16, 18p (although 20 or 22 would be better!), 28, 38, 48, 74

Here's what I've found after a day:

-It plays fantastically, the pickup really reminds me of Lundgren, and it's very unique.

-Nut is not wide enough for 74 however I personally don't use that much, I mainly use 58 for G and G#. If needed, I can file that easily.

-You can't adjust pick height. The pickup is mounted with 2 screws on the body, without springs or foam under it. However I can see the reason: At the mounting height, the distance to strings when pressed 24th fret is whopping 3.3mm. I usually run 2.5-2.7mm with typical humbuckers, 3.3mm is considered very low. But, even with that low, the output is still a tiny bit higher than my Ormsby! If you make it closer to strings, the very strong neodymium will pull strings and effect tuning.

-Neck profile is very slim and flat, which is my preferred, but if you want more rounded and full neck, this isn't for you.

-You can easily get scratches on headstock since the black paint and gloss finish, however due to flakes it's not visible on body.

-I've changed metal knob to a knob with abalone top.

-They really perfected in build quality, it's very on-par with Padalka or Mayones. As you can see in the last picture, they even treated the pickup cavity!

Overall I'm super happy with this beauty, probably my best experience so far.
