So...I've always wanted one of these, they were out of stock for quite some time. (The standard finishes grey and brown-burst)

A month ago or so, Thomann offered them again. Started with those standard finishes, which were out of stock again pretty quickly. Then PRS introduced a new finish for September 2015, Vintage Cherry.

I'm usually not a fan of red guitars, but since I really, really had GAS for one of those babies, I just went with it and ordered it in VC.

Made no mistake, the finish looks sexy as fudge in person. The whole guitar feels ridiculously high quality for 550€. I don't think you can get a better baritone 6 string for that price, let alone for even 300€ ontop.

The stock pickups sound good to me, well balanced with a nice low end. But they lack a high-mid peak, so I might change the bridge pickup out in the future, but that's nitpicking right there.

I've had it for about a month now, just posting this thread today because I've decided to definitely keep this bad boy after trying it out for weeks.

Here some pictures, soundsamples will follow:

It's so tasty, can you handle it?

Stay tuned for me using this for my new recordings, I've got it tuned to standard F at the moment, with an 80 for the low string, might put a 90 on there and see where we can go with that.

Enjoy the guitar-porn, cheers!

Cool guitar man. Happy NGD.
I own one in brown burst finish and i love it. There's no better baritone in this price range.
I wish they would make a 7 string version.

These PRS MM's always look great, congrats!
Happy to hear PRS is still making these guitars due to a consistent demand for them. Now they just need to release a PRS MM SE 7-String model *crosses fingers*

Still discontinued in the US. :( Maybe they just had some NOS?

I wonder why they were discontinued. He's still in a band (Saint Asonia, who's fronted by a pretty well-known vocalist) and still uses PRS.

Still though, I like the red ones a lot. Glad to see you grabbed that one.

Yeah, I feel you. They were discontinued here as well for quite some time. Was super surprised to see the brown and grey ones return for like two weeks, before they were out of stock again. Was super bummed, but then Thomann had the VC one in stock and I couldn't contain it any longer. :O

They're such quality guitars man.
