I'm going to rust them up a bit with a nice vinegar/bleach mixture. They they should be ready for the neck, which I am waiting on from AllParts. I thought they shipped it, but it's been processing since the 9th.

These are awesome tuners.

Nope, you said when it's done you want a promo picture holding it, and that you'd use it for a solo on your next album.

I don't remember saying that. ;)

But I fully endorse that statement.

:yesway:

Tele's, especially aged ones, make me wet.

You need to stop drinkin' so much, featherduster.

It's okay, I'll let you use it. This one will be fairly aged. Last night I sanded the bridge a bit, so it's looking duller. After I eat supper I'm slapping the grain filler onto the body.

It's me Irish blood. :pops:

Have you decided on pups yet? You know, I've used some GFS tele sets, they are some really big bang for your buck.

Fuck me, no. I have a text document with about 40 choices in it. Narrowing it down while I work on the body. The neck should arrive this week. There's a slight chance I'll be playing it unpainted and with no pickups for a while. Just twanging around for fun.

The sum it up, I'm looking at the following:
Lindy Fralin
BKP
Jor Barden
Lollar
Lundgren
Bill Lawrence (Regular and Keystones)
Ron Ellis

My experience:
BKP, Lollar or Fralin.

All excellent choices, all great sounds.
